Job description

Description

This position is responsible for the installation of new and replacement plants and flowers at customer locations throughout the assigned territory. Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety are to be met at each customer location.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  •  Obtain work orders from Account Managers for new installations and replacements, pull plants/flowers, pots and mona systems according to specifications, assemble as needed and load on the truck for delivery to the customers location. (70%)
  •  Clean up the work area around each plant/flower prior to leaving the customers location in accordance with Engledow quality standards. (10%)
  •  Inventory installation materials, i.e., trash bags, broom, dust pan, soil, carts, liners, moss, etc. on the truck and make sure that they are readily available when needed to complete a job. (5%)
  •  Maintain the assigned truck for cleanliness and general maintenance. Schedule repairs with the Engledow Maintenance Department or the local dealership as needed. (5%)
  •  Complete all work orders, timesheets and expense reports, submitting them to the appropriate account manager in a timely manner. (5%)
  •  Assist with short-term event installations as needed. (5%)
  •  All other duties as assigned.

SKILL 

  • Must have a strong interest and desire to work with plants/flowers.
  • Requires the ability to communicate well in both written and verbal formats with individuals in various management levels and of diverse backgrounds.
  • Must be service oriented to meet/exceed customers' needs.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work independently in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Must have strong physical endurance as the position is very labor intensive.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Associate's degree in horticulture or a related field is desired.
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work flexible hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends as needed.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Must have a good driving record and have the ability to read city and state maps.
  • Experience working in the horticulture industry is desired but not required.
  • Plant identification skills are desired but not required.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
