Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for client communication and overall project progress reports. Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan. Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other key project stakeholders where necessary to successfully complete the project.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead all phases of solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review engineering drawings, submittals, and specifications for constructability and compliance. Financial & Contract Management
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and pay applications.
  • Report monthly on project financials, progress, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and manage claims or disputes as necessary. Team Leadership & Communication
  • Supervise and mentor field superintendents, site managers, and project engineers.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders.
  • Effectively plan scope of work and provide means to plan out with all project parties.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion company safety culture and enforce all jobsite safety standards.
  • Facilitate the pre-task plan procedures with proper documentation.
  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

Project Closeout

  • Oversee project punch lists, documentation, and turnover packages.
  • Work with trade subcontractors for timely documentation review and resolution.
  • Conduct lessons-learned reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • construction, with at least 2 years in solar or renewable energy.
  • Minimum with at least 2 years in managing solar projects of 30MW and larger
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from $1M–$20M.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and civil construction practices for solar installations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera, GSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
