Engineering Planner

 TheEngineering Planner is responsible for generating and maintaining productionplanning to support manufacturing efforts. Compiles and maintains control records and related files torelease engineering drawings, specifications, mylars and other engineeringdocuments to manufacturing and other operation departments.

Job Summary

  • Generates and maintains production work order routings/planning to support customer requirements and delivery schedule.
  • Create rework planning for parts or tools as required.
  • Reviews customer-engineering changes.
  • Reviews customer purchase order requirements and changes.
  • Support manufacturing and other departments as an internal customer.
  • Coordinates engineering efforts within the department.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments
  • Ensures that documents in use are updated to the latest configuration.
  • Orders replacement documents as required.
  • Tracks engineering changes.
  • Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.
  • Maintains engineering related files.
  • Operates reproduction equipment.
  • Prepares requests for reproduction of documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
