The OFSE Mining Business Development Leader is responsible for driving market entry and profitable growth for Baker Hughes within the mining sector. This role blends strategic business development, commercial leadership, and solution shaping to identify, develop, and secure new opportunities across the mining value chain.

Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and digital teams, the role ensures that mining solutions are customerfocused, technically robust, commercially competitive, and scalable. The position also leverages Baker Hughes' oil and gas experience to support the adoption of advanced technologies within mining applications.

As an OFSE Mining Business Development Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and executing the mining business development strategy aligned with OFSE and enterprise growth objectives.

  • Identifying, qualifying, and progressing new mining opportunities, including earlystage customer engagement and market development.

  • Translating customer challenges, market trends, and competitive intelligence into compelling value propositions and differentiated offerings.

  • Supporting pricing, tendering, and commercial risk assessment to maximize win probability, margin, and longterm value creation.

  • Shaping integrated, executionready solutions by coordinating inputs from engineering, digital, operations, lifecycle services, and supply chain teams.

  • Acting as executive sponsor for key mining pursuits, ensuring strong customer alignment and clear articulation of value.

  • Building and maintaining seniorlevel, trustbased relationships with mining customers, partners, and technology collaborators.

  • Promoting standardization, reuse, and bestpractice adoption across mining solution concepts to enable scalable growth.

  • Capturing feedback from customer engagements and pursuits to continuously refine value propositions and commercial approaches.

  • Representing Baker Hughes at industry events, customer forums, and professional societies to strengthen market presence and credibility.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have degreelevel education or equivalent experience in engineering, business, or a related discipline.

  • Have demonstrated experience in business development, commercial leadership, or solution management within industrial, energy, or adjacent markets.

  • Have strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing strategies, tendering processes, and commercial risk management.

  • Have the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions in a clear, customerfocused manner.

  • Have proven capability to influence and align crossfunctional teams across geographies.

  • Have experience building senior customer relationships and progressing earlystage opportunities into executable projects.

  • Have strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Having exposure to mining, heavy industry, or energy transition applications is advantageous.
