The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a highly skilled engineering team while ensuring company objectives and goals are met. Job Summary: This person would be responsible for leading 3-4 employees and will directly oversee the engineering department. This is a hands-on role, and the engineering manager will perform the following duties: · Provides hands-on support with engineering project requirements. · Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, sales support, production support, and development of new and existing product lines. · Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood. · Ensures projects comply with specifications, timelines, and elevator code. · Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy. · Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards. · Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency. Required Skills/Abilities: · Strong knowledge of elevator codes and compliance requirements. · Must have prior experience working in accordance with ASME 17.1 elevator codes and excellent problem-solving skills. · Innovative with a “think outside the box” mentality. · Proficient with utilizing AutoCAD software · Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria. · Thorough understanding of applied math and physics. · Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong supervisory and leadership skills. · Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
