Engineering Manager – Pressure Control

About the Role

Control Flow Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Pressure Control to lead engineering activities for our Pressure Control product line. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering involvement to support product development, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings strong pressure control experience, deep knowledge of API and ASME standards, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage engineering personnel supporting the Pressure Control product line
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all engineering activities and priorities
  • Drive product development, new product introductions, and design improvements
  • Prepare and review engineering design packages, calculations, and new designs
  • Ensure compliance with API, ASME, NACE, ISA standards and CFI’s Quality Management System
  • Support customer technical requirements and business development efforts
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and cross-functional teams
  • Improve engineering processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and profitability

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience (pressure control / oil & gas equipment preferred)
  • Engineering registration (PE) or qualifying equivalent experience
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with CAD and calculation tools (Inventor or equivalent, MathCAD)
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, engineering documentation)

Technical Expertise

  • API standards: 6A, 6D, 6FA, 16A, 16C, 16AR, 20E / 20F
  • ASME Codes: Section VIII, B31.3
  • NACE MR0175
  • ISA 75.01.01
  • Experience working with API product specifications, ASME code books, and formal engineering processes
