Job description

What Your Day Will Look Like:
As an Engineering Designer, you'll lead portions of complex transportation design projects and provide advanced technical support in drainage design, including stormwater management, hydraulic analysis, and conveyance systems. You'll apply engineering judgment, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with project engineers and managers to ensure the delivery of accurate, efficient, and constructible drainage solutions.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the preparation of detailed drainage design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects, including stormwater management and conveyance systems.
  • Perform advanced hydraulic and hydrologic calculations and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate drainage design activities among multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Assist project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and drainage-related design deliverables.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
  • 2+ years of Texas transportation drainage design experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with MicroStation & OpenRoads Designer.
