Job description

Equipment Operator
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator in our Charlotte, N.C. office. As an Equipment Operator, you will serve as an integral member of our engineering team. Tower Engineering Professionals offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, and a relaxed, fun environment.
Objectives of this role
  • Operate a directional bore to install underground pipes
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed on construction sites
  • Consult regularly with property owners, tenants, construction managers, and electricians
  • Ensure all construction projects stay on schedule and are completed successfully

Responsibilities
  • Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints
  • Direct day to day field activities including the use of machinery and equipment
  • Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it
  • Be able to inspect equipment before usage and safely operate each
  • Driving or controlling equipment to complete tasks at the construction site

Skills and qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of construction procedures and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Basic computer skills including G suite knowledge

Work Environment
