Job description

Summary

Working as part of the Engineering Services team, the Engineering Administrator is responsible for coordinating and executing accurate entry and processing of Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) within the company's ERP system(s). This role ensures all technical documentation, revision updates, bills of materials, and part information are properly reviewed and maintained to reflect the latest engineering intent. The position supports cross-functional teams by ensuring engineering changes are captured, validated, and released in a timely manner, helping maintain product accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Create, handle, and process Engineering Change Notes (ECN), Engineering Quick Adds (EQA) and Concessions for materials, processes, and documents into ERP system(s)
  • Coordinate change requests with engineering and other functional groups
  • Monitor change releases to ensure timely incorporation into production
  • Maintain the Bill of Material (BOM) and Part Master files in the ERP System(s) and relevant document storage systems
  • Check ECN's and engineering drawings for consistency and errors
  • Maintenance of part records, BOMs, Barcodes, COO's, Bin locations, Work Centers, Design Holds, and other field changes as needed in ERP system(s)
  • Maintain work scripts in detail to document the various types of data entry processes required
  • Creating/Managing Barcode numbers/file as needed in ERP system(s)
  • Training of ERP general use within the office, as support
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed and assigned

Qualifications

  • Required
    • Ability to understand technical documentation, design drawings, BOM structures
    • Experience in the administration of changes
  • Aptitude to learn other business system software applications
  • Detail orientated and attention to accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Computer Software interface skills
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Good Communication Skills, written and verbal
  • ERP Experience (Epicor, Navision, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Preferred/Desired

Associate's degree and/or 2+ years of professional-level experience (internship/co-op experience incl.) encompassing one or more areas of the following areas: technical documentation management, ERP data entry, process or change management
