Job description

Climate Engineering Companies is a HEAVY-DUTY truck, trailer and Transport Refrigeration Unit repair company with multiple locations. We are looking for A HIGHLY motivated Auto/Truck/Trailer Body Repair/Paint Technician that will be responsible for preparing various types of vehicles for paint, at our newly constructed nineteen bay shop located in Cheshire, CT.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can work independently to perform the following duties:

ยท Prepare vehicles and equipment for painting applications

ยท Remove accessories and mask areas not to be painted

ยท Clean, sand, grind, and fill surfaces as needed

ยท Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements

ยท Remove and replace damaged body panels, bumpers, and components

ยท Repair dents, scratches, and structural damage

ยท Use body fillers and repair materials to restore vehicle appearance

ยท Safely disassemble and reassemble vehicle components

ยท Operate paint mixing systems and body repair tools

ยท Maintain a clean and organized work environment

ยท Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

ยท Collaborate with management and other team members to complete repairs efficiently

Requirements:

ยท Proven experience as a Body Repair/Paint Technician or similar role

ยท Strong knowledge of body repair and painting preparation techniques

ยท Proficiency with paint mixing systems and related equipment

ยท Excellent attention to detail and workmanship

ยท Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ยท Strong organizational and time management skills

ยท Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage

ยท Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various positions

ยท Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
