Service Technician & Mechanic – Diesel Engine Rebuilder

ALL Crane Service, LLC

Position Summary

ALL Crane Service, located in Independence is seeking a Service Technician & Mechanic – Diesel Engine Rebuilder. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a $300 candidate sign-on bonus after 100 days of continuous employment.

Essential Functions

  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble engines and /or engine components
  • Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines
  • Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
  • Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
  • Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
  • Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
  • Able to work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience with Cummins engines and INSITE software is a plus
  • Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Must have a strong diesel engine background
  • Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
