Job description

Looking for a diversly skilled Small Engine Service Technician. The Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engine-powered equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, pumps, generators, and other outdoor power tools. The technician will also need to have knowledge in all types of powersports equipment. The role requires both technical skill and customer service ability.

Certifications in the following brands; Stihl, Briggs and Straton, Kohler, Kawasaki, Toro, Honda is required.

  • Inspection & Diagnostics: Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts; troubleshoot electrical, starting, charging, and fuel systems.
  • Repairs & Maintenance: Perform routine and major repairs, including rebuilding engines, replacing worn parts, sharpening blades, and lubricating components.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program; perform oil changes, air filter replacements, and winterization of cooling systems.
  • Fabrication & Tooling: Fabricate or modify parts as needed; maintain and organize tools and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Explain equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed to customers; handle warranty claims and parts inquiries.
  • Documentation: Prepare time-and-materials estimates, job specifications, and repair records.
  • Emergency & Seasonal Work: Perform emergency repairs and handle peak-season workloads.
