As a Senior SEO/CRO Strategist, you will shape and lead long-term organic growth and conversion strategies for a portfolio of established B2B brands. You’ll combine technical SEO, content strategy, generative engine optimization (GEO), and conversion optimization to create measurable business impact. Working within a collaborative squad of project managers, writers, developers, designers, and analytics specialists, you’ll turn strategic ideas into effective execution. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping stakeholders understand complex opportunities and confidently invest in your recommendations. Data will play a central role in your work, from measuring performance to designing and evaluating experiments. The environment values curiosity, thoughtful experimentation, collaboration, and continuous optimization across both traditional search and the evolving AI landscape.

Accountabilities
  • Lead SEO, GEO, and CRO strategy for a portfolio of up to six mid-market B2B brands, taking ownership of their long-term organic growth and conversion vision.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, building strong relationships and confidently communicating recommendations to executives, specialists, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop holistic, business-focused content and optimization strategies designed around measurable goals and meaningful commercial outcomes.
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives including audits, site architecture improvements, experimentation, and other opportunities to strengthen search visibility.
  • Develop creative SEO strategies covering keyword research, content planning, link-worthy assets, and broader organic growth opportunities.
  • Design and guide conversion optimization initiatives, using experimentation, analytics, and customer insights to improve website performance and user experience.
  • Use data to demonstrate results and inform strategic decisions, leveraging tools such as GA4, GrowthBook, Google Sheets automations, and related analytics platforms.
  • Coordinate and guide the work of specialists across content, development, code, and analytics to ensure strategic plans are effectively executed.
  • Build alignment and buy-in around strategic recommendations while balancing client goals, user needs, technical realities, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with other Strategists through a shared, centralized optimization process, contributing ideas and learning across the broader team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience working across SEO and conversion optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client or account-facing relationships and acting as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site audits, information architecture, technical recommendations, and experimentation.
  • Strong creative SEO capabilities, including keyword research, content strategy, and development of link-worthy content or campaigns.
  • Practical conversion optimization expertise, including testing methodologies, analytics, experimentation, and performance analysis.
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging search technologies, combined with the critical thinking needed to evaluate new tools and approaches thoughtfully.
  • Google Analytics 4 certification, or the willingness and ability to obtain certification.
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with a consistent ability to meet deadlines and help others do the same.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical or strategic concepts clearly, simply, and thoughtfully.
  • Professional-level writing ability, with an understanding of and adherence to AP Style.
  • Strong working knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with front-end web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience with data scraping, advanced spreadsheet techniques, automation, or other productivity-enhancing workflows is a plus.
  • Examples of previous campaign strategies, executions, and measurable outcomes are highly valued.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary of $80,000-$95,000.
  • Performance- and profitability-based bonuses paid three times per year.
  • 15 paid time off (PTO) days plus 1 paid volunteer time off (VTO) day.
  • 12 paid holidays, including a floating holiday.
  • Paid office closure between Christmas and New Year’s.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Simple IRA retirement plan with a 3% employer match.
