Job description

Exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on manufacturing and heavy Industrial projects looking to join the team in Duluth! This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design for industrial facilities (mining and production operations)
  • Serve as technical leader on projects from start to finish
  • Build/maintain client relationships
  • Design/oversee systems (Industrial ventilation/dust collection, process piping, pumping, and plumbing, and balance-of-plant/material handling support systems)
  • Scope project requirements, verify calculations, and validate equipment selection
  • Prepare/review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Coordinate with other teams
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Support construction administration/site visits as needed
  • Assist with project coordination, client interactions, and/or proposals


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • PE License
  • 6+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial or mining environments
  • Experience leading design efforts and mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience leading technical design efforts across disciplines
  • Previous design experience in mining or industrial facilities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or Plant 3D preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
