Position: Sr Project Manager - Midstream, Business Programs

Reports to: Sr. Program Manager - Business Programs

Compensation*: Competitive starting salary $81,600 - $102,800 commensurate with skills and experience, Full Pay Range: $81,600 - $124,000

*Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications in the pay equity assessment to determine equitable salary placement. Candidates should expect compensation offers within the starting compensation range. The full pay range is included to show the potential earnings for this position with sustained high performance.

Our Location

Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Project Manager - Midstream would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum, for all staff and other in-person meetings.

Role Overview

This position provides instant point-of-purchase discounts through qualifying distributors. This approach enables the program to deliver energy-efficient products cost-effectively while reaching a broader customer base. Currently, the Midstream offer includes lighting products only.

Energy Trust has established several goals for expanding the Midstream offer, including:

Expanding Midstream offerings to include non-lighting measures across the Commercial, Industrial, and Agricultural sectors (Residential midstream offers are delivered separately). Increasing access to incentives for customers, particularly rural, and priority for customers-who may not participate in traditional incentive programs. Influencing distributor stocking practices to increase the availability and adoption of energy efficient equipment.

What We're Looking For:

Energy Trust of Oregon is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the development and delivery of innovative Midstream offers for the Commercial, Industrial, and Agricultural sectors. This role reports to the Sr. Program Manager, Business Programs within the Industrial and Agricultural sectors.

The Senior Project Manager will support sector efforts to manage existing Midstream offers; launch and integrate new program designs; expand participation among key customer groups; develop new savings opportunities; and increase overall program scale. This role supports implementation of activities delivered by contracted resources and works closely with cross-functional Program Managers and Sector Leads.

What You'll Do:

Develop and oversee project implementation activities, including monitoring the performance of Midstream Program Delivery Contractor (PDC).

Support internal Program Managers in program strategy and design that deliver energy savings across diverse customer segments.

Direct internal and external resources to launch and operate new offers, including oversight of contracted resources, trade ally and community outreach, operations, and project management.

Collaborate cross-functional with Energy Programs, Marketing, Measure Development and organizational support teams.

Work with other sectors and programs in the organization to achieve cross-program outcomes.

Coordinate with and support PDC in developing program materials and protocols.

Establish clear program guidelines and requirements for documentation.

Develop strategies and use internal and external tools to track and report on program performance.

Support Program Manager in program forecasting and performance to Multiyear Plan targets.

Support contract coordination, such as deliverable tracking and scope of work development.

Represent Energy Trust's programs and initiatives in public settings with customers, contractors, and stakeholders, as needed.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Perform all job functions in a safe manner.

Represent the Industrial and Agriculture sector (or midstream program) in cross-program collaboration to develop and implement program initiatives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory duties but will direct the work of external and agency contractors.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, economics, project management, public policy or architecture preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Five years of experience in project management, contract management, and/or energy efficiency program management.

Demonstrated experience managing or supporting complex contracts.

Proven group facilitation and team-building skills, with experience leading high-performing project teams.

Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and lead organizational change management efforts related to project implementation.

Proven ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations and deliver effective presentations.

Strong project management skills, including tracking and reporting on project status and program performance.

Experience managing complex, concurrent projects, facilitating cross-team collaboration, and coordinating multistakeholder projects.

Experience successfully working with multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to collaborate with other market interventions and programs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including the ability to build spreadsheet models based on management input.

Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Smartsheet.
