Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Corporate Communications Intern to join our team.
This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, digital employer branding, employee engagement, and content creation. Working alongside a collaborative and people-centered team, the intern will help tell the story of our people, culture, and business through content that informs, engages, and inspires internal and external audiences.
The intern will contribute to real business initiatives, build a portfolio of professional communications work, and gain exposure to employer branding, corporate storytelling, communication strategy, content planning, stakeholder communications, and employee experience programs.
This role is ideal for students pursuing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Communications, English, or related fields who are passionate about storytelling and creating meaningful connections through communication.
This is a flexible, hands-on internship designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience and professional mentorship while accommodating academic responsibilities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Communications Intern will gain experience across two primary areas: (1) Employer Brand & Corporate Communications and (2) Stakeholder Communications & Program Support.

Employer Brand & Corporate Communications

  • Manage and create content for employer brand platforms, including Glassdoor, Indeed, Handshake, and other career-focused channels.
  • Write employee spotlight stories, intern experiences, success profiles, and culture-focused features.
  • Develop affiliate spotlight stories that showcase the people, businesses, and impact that make up our organization.
  • Maintain an employer brand content calendar and content pipeline.
  • Create evergreen content that can be leveraged across internal and external communication channels.
  • Support employee communications through newsletters, announcements, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Research employer branding trends and recommend opportunities to strengthen awareness, engagement, and recruitment efforts.
  • Assist with content creation, presentations, and communication materials that support Corporate Communications initiatives.

Stakeholder Communications & Program Support

  • Coordinate recurring communications and touchpoints for key stakeholder groups.
  • Support the development and distribution of communications that promote programs, tools, resources, product adoption, and key initiatives.
  • Manage and respond to requests through shared inboxes and project management platforms.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining communication resources, materials, and inventories.
  • Support data collection, cleansing, validation, and preparation activities related to communication, system, and business initiatives.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations that support program adoption, operational efficiency, vendor management, and decision-making.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining team resources, promotional materials, and inventories, including support for the executive swag program.
  • Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve communication effectiveness and user engagement.
Lead a Capstone Project
  • Own and complete a dedicated communications-focused project that addresses a real business opportunity.
  • Projects may focus on employer branding, content strategy, employee engagement, communication effectiveness, audience research, program adoption, or storytelling. At the conclusion of the internship, present findings and recommendations to department leadership.

Time Commitment

This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience while maintaining flexibility for academic commitments.

  • Interns are expected to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week, typically spread across two 8-hour workdays.
  • Depending on the intern's course load, schedule, and availability, hours may increase to up to 30 hours per week.
  • Work schedules will be coordinated with the intern and supervisor to support both learning objectives and business needs.
