Job description

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the digital services and customer experience industry, is seeking a UX/CX Program Manager to support a fast-moving customer experience and design organization.


This role will serve as the operational backbone across research, UX/CX design, strategy, product, IT, engineering, and content teams. The UX/CX Program Manager will help translate ambitious product goals into well-structured, cross-functional programs by building project plans, defining milestones, managing dependencies, and keeping complex initiatives aligned and moving forward.


Contract Duration: Thru 12/31/26 (with option to extend or convert to FTE)

Location: 4 days onsite (Mon-Thurs) in Stamford, CT hub (and WFM on Fridays)


The Right Candidate Will Have

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in UX/CX program management, design operations, project management, or a similar cross-functional role
  • Experience working directly with UX, CX, research, design, content, or product teams
  • Strong understanding of how design and research teams operate within larger product development environments
  • Experience managing fast-moving, multi-stakeholder programs with competing priorities
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across operational, product, and team-health scenarios
  • Strong project planning skills, including milestone development, dependency tracking, and status reporting
  • Experience facilitating planning sessions, status reviews, retrospectives, and other program rituals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present risks, trade-offs, and program status to both working teams and leadership
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to create trust across research, design, product, engineering, IT, and business teams
  • A process-oriented mindset with the ability to create scalable, repeatable workflows without adding unnecessary complexity


What You Will Do

  • Plan and manage complex UX/CX programs involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and workstreams
  • Build project plans, define milestones, track dependencies, and proactively identify risks or blockers
  • Partner closely with Customer Research, UX/CX Design, Strategy, Product, IT, Engineering, and Content teams
  • Develop scalable processes that improve cross-functional collaboration, handoffs, and overall program execution
  • Facilitate planning sessions, status reviews, retrospectives, and other team rituals that keep stakeholders informed and aligned
  • Communicate program progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to both delivery teams and leadership
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across teams to maintain alignment around shared goals
  • Help teams prioritize work, clarify ownership, and navigate changing requirements or competing priorities
  • Identify operational gaps and opportunities to improve how customer experience and design initiatives are planned and delivered
