Wentworth Hospice is seeking Telephone Support Volunteers to provide friendly calls, emotional support, and reassurance to hospice patients and caregivers. This role is ideal for volunteers who want to make a difference through conversation and connectionโ€”often from the comfort of their own home.

What Does a Telephone Support Volunteer Do?

Telephone Support Volunteers help by:

    • Making friendly, supportive phone calls to hospice patients
    • Offering conversation, encouragement, and a listening ear
    • Helping reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
    • Providing emotional support to caregivers who may need someone to talk to
    • Sharing kindness, calm, and compassion through regular checkโ€ins
