Pay Range: $60,000 to $68,000

Job Summary

All-Current Electric is experiencing exciting growth, expanding its branch network, strengthening supplier partnerships, and supporting some of the most demanding projects in the electrical distribution industry. With increasing demand across key markets, we're looking for aPurchasing Agentto help drive the operational excellence that keeps our business moving.

This is an opportunity to join the "beating heart" of the organization. As a Purchasing Agent, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers, branches, and sales teams have the products they need, when they need them. You'll work closely with supply chain, sales, operations, and vendor partners to manage inventory, improve forecasting, analyze purchasing trends, and support a growing product portfolio. If you're analytical, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in procurement and supply chain management, this role offers outstanding visibility, mentorship, and growth potential.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute purchasing activities to support customer demand and inventory requirements
  • Develop and maintain purchasing schedules for assigned product categories
  • Coordinate branch-to-branch inventory transfers while optimizing freight costs
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock positions
  • Analyze inventory trends, sales history, and purchasing activity
  • Support forecasting and replenishment planning efforts
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and lead times
  • Identify opportunities to convert frequently purchased non-stock items into stocked inventory
  • Review supplier pricing changes and assist with cost analysis
  • Maintain vendor and product master data, including new supplier setup and data cleanup
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to understand market demand and customer needs
  • Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to support purchasing decisions
Job Requirements
  • 2-5 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or related experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
  • Experience in electrical distribution, industrial distribution, construction supply, or electronics-related industries
  • ERP experience, preferably Profit21 or Epicor
  • Exposure to inventory planning or forecasting processes
