About the Role
Innovation Consulting LLC is partnered with an electrical construction firm to recruit a Purchasing Agent for its Martinez, CA operations. This role manages the procurement of electrical materials, tools, and equipment for commercial and industrial construction projects, working from project specifications and submittals to keep materials moving to active jobsites.
The Purchasing Agent evaluates suppliers on cost, availability, and delivery performance, tracks orders from issue through delivery, and resolves shipment and invoice discrepancies as they come up. The role coordinates closely with project managers, field teams, and estimating to keep material timelines aligned with project schedules, and supports compliance with company purchasing policy and applicable Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) requirements on healthcare-related work.
The ideal candidate has hands-on purchasing experience in the electrical contracting or broader construction industry, a solid understanding of vendor relations and inventory control, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent project timelines. Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Sourcing
