Senior Purchasing Agent Responsibilities: - Purchase plumbing materials, equipment, and jobsite supplies
- Review plumbing and civil plans/specifications to ensure accurate ordering
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and warehouse staff
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when needed
- Track deliveries, inventory, and material availability
- Assist with submittals and product documentation
- Support warehouse operations and material logistics
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and timelines
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, shortages, and substitutions
- Utilize computer systems for purchasing, inventory, and order tracking
Senior Purchasing Agent Requirements: - 5+ years of plumbing industry experience or plumbing supply house experience
- Strong understanding of plumbing materials, systems, and products
- Ability to read plumbing and civil plans/specifications
- Experience with submittals and construction documentation is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency required
- Warehouse and inventory experience is preferred
- A bachelor degree is preferred
