Job description

Position Title: Senior Purchasing Agent
The Senior Purchasing Agent plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement of plumbing materials and supplies for various projects. This position requires strong knowledge of plumbing systems and the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. The ideal candidate will be operationally focused, capable of managing vendor relationships, and adept at coordinating with project managers and field teams. With an emphasis on building relationships and maintaining a collaborative work environment, the role is essential for the success of ongoing and future projects. This opportunity also offers the chance to learn under experienced leadership and contribute to a transparent and family-oriented company culture.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 / Year DOE
Senior Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:
  • Purchase plumbing materials, equipment, and jobsite supplies
  • Review plumbing and civil plans/specifications to ensure accurate ordering
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and warehouse staff
  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when needed
  • Track deliveries, inventory, and material availability
  • Assist with submittals and product documentation
  • Support warehouse operations and material logistics
  • Ensure materials meet project specifications and timelines
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, shortages, and substitutions
  • Utilize computer systems for purchasing, inventory, and order tracking

Senior Purchasing Agent Requirements:
  • 5+ years of plumbing industry experience or plumbing supply house experience
