This position reports to:
Senior Project Engineering Manager
In this role, you will support electrical sustaining engineering activities for instrumentation and analytical products. You will contribute to product improvements, design support, and cross-functional engineering projects while applying design-for-excellence and engineering best practices.
The work model for the role is: Onsite in Bartlesville, OK. #LI-Onsite
Your role and responsibilities:
  • Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  • Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
  • Performing design verification in accordance with applicable standards and internal engineering guidelines.
  • Supporting compliance with UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, quality, and product management.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware design, sustaining engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical hardware, PCBAs, electronic components, and cabling.
  • Experience with OrCAD, Altium, Windchill PLM, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, PCBA design, and product lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, RoHS, REACH, and PFAS compliance.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering or product development teams.
