Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Hardware Engineer to support the development, testing, and verification of advanced cardiac implantable medical devices, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators (ICDs), and implantable monitors.
This role blends hands-on electrical hardware engineering with the use of AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance engineering workflows, accelerate development, and improve product quality in a regulated environment.
Top 3 Required Skill Sets

  • Hardware Engineering: Strong foundation in electrical hardware design, characterization, bench testing, troubleshooting, and debug
  • AI Tool Development & Utilization: Ability to develop, adapt, and apply AI-enabled tools to improve engineering design, development, analysis, and testing workflows
  • PCB Design & Circuit Modeling: Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and modeling
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical hardware testing, characterization, and debug activities to support design development, integration, and issue resolution
  • Lead formal verification and characterization efforts, including test planning, execution, data analysis, and documentation within a regulated environment
  • Implement and apply AI-enabled tools, automation, and scripting to accelerate engineering workflows, including testing, analysis, and documentation
  • Support electrical architecture development, including PCBAs, power systems, sensing technologies, and embedded hardware
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, software, mechanical, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware engineering (medical device or regulated industry preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with bench testing, debugging, and electrical characterization
  • Experience with formal test documentation and design controls
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or AI-enabled engineering tools (1+ year preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cardiac implantable devices (e.g., pacemakers, ICDs, implantable monitors)
  • Experience applying AI/ML to hardware development (e.g., edge AI, embedded intelligence, workflow automation)
  • Knowledge of regulated development standards such as FDA guidelines, ISO 13485, or IEC 60601
