Job description

Job Title: Senior Electrical Wiring Technician

Location: Allen Park, MI



We are looking for HIGHLY experienced Electrical Wiring Technicians to join the team!



Wiring Technician Job Description:

  • Cut wires to length
  • Solder wires using schematics or rework instructions
  • Crimp terminals and populate connectors
  • De-pin terminals from connectors and move to new locations
  • All techs will be given a crimp and solder test when they arrive on their first day. If they fail, they will be told we do not need them.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow provided work instructions (prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses)
  • Assembly of wiring harnesses using hand tools and proper assembly techniques
  • Work in small teams to complete daily build requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work space
  • Inventory tracking of project parts and supplies
  • Quality validation of wire harness assemblies
  • Teardown and/or rework of donor harnesses
  • Effectively communicate with cross functional teams on collaborative projects
  • Provide world class products and services


Must also have tools:

  • Wire cutters
  • Wire stripper
  • Pick set
  • W crimps
  • Volt meter
  • Soldering iron


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Automotive high voltage experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in wire harness assembly
  • Proficiency in Wire Prep, Crimping, Soldering, De-pinning
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring prints and cut sheets
  • Accurate measurement skills
  • Experienced in use of multimeter
