We are seeking an energetic Electrical Engineer Co-Op participant with a basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and a desire to work on design projects for various building types in our Dublin, OH office. Electrical Engineering Interns at Salas O'Brien are integral to our day-to-day production. These positions involve various duties in support of electrical design and engineering staff. Early on, duties will focus on the use of AutoCAD and Revit software (training is provided).
There are two Co-Op opportunities. One is focused on Industrial Automation and Controls. The second is focused on industrial and utility power distribution. Students are encouraged to discuss their interest in one or the other of these fields.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform required work activities on an individual basis or within a project team with limited need for supervision.
  • Identify and initiate solutions to problems requiring single discipline involvement and single discipline analytical tools.
  • Apply engineering aptitudes at the working level to assure compliance to the customer's and Salas O'Brien's quality and consistency expectations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned or deemed appropriate of the position by management.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • You are working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • You are interested in electrical power distribution from 34.5kV down to 120V
  • AutoCAD/Revit skills are a plus but not required
  • You are available to work full-time, 40 hours per week in the office

  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
  • Ability work well as part of a team.
