Job description

Becker Pumps is looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined Mechatronics Technician to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career Technician, recent technical school graduate, or someone with a strong electromechanical background who enjoys figuring out how things work. You'll troubleshoot equipment, work directly with customers, support field installations and commissioning, and learn Becker's full line of industrial vacuum and blower products.

You'll spend time in the office, shop, and at customer locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Diagnose and repair industrial pumps and rotating equipment
  • Perform basic electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic tools
  • Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Support customers and internal sales teams with technical questions
  • Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and service
  • Assist with commissioning industrial vacuum systems
  • Support warranty evaluations and technical documentation
  • Work alongside experienced engineers on testing and new product projects

Requirements:

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or certificate in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field
  • Solid foundational understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including international travel

Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.

Experience in field service, industrial equipment, technical support, or warranty work is helpful, but not required.

Why Becker?

Becker Pumps is a global leader in vacuum and regenerative blower technology with more than 140 years of history and over 50 years of operations in the United States.

If you're mechanically curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to build broad technical experience while learning from an experienced engineering team, we'd like to hear from you.
