Role description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support the Design and Engineering team within the Places global business area. This position's geographical location is negotiable depending upon the candidate. You must have broad capabilities. You will lead the electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. You'll serve as the engineer of record, collaborating with project teams, junior and senior engineers, project managers, and clients on a diverse range of projects, including the design of manufacturing facilities, lift stations, pump stations, treatment plants, fuel systems, electric vehicle charging stations, transportation infrastructure, environmental remediation systems, data centers, and commercial and retail buildings.
Role accountabilities:
  • Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
  • Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for power system studies, electrical system audits and collaboration with clients' team members.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
  • Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power).
  • Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
  • Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
  • Perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination)
  • Support proposal efforts to win design work.
  • Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs.
  • Provide mentoring to junior staff.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering,
  • Hold Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and actively working towards Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
  • May also be working towards advanced degree (M.Eng., MS, MBA, etc.),
  • 4 or more years' relevant experience in engineering,
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice,
  • OSHA training preferred (in some Business Lines this will be required)"

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions.
