Job description

The following position will be working with The City of Detroit's Department of Elections. There are multiple roles needing to be filled and job descriptions are listed below:

Clerical Staff -

  • Assist election process by sorting, organizing, mailing, verifying, and entering voter in-formation and electronic data.
  • Data Entry
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
  • Customer Service

Call Center Staff-

  • Assist election process by handling and routing all incoming calls to the Department of Elections.
  • Troubleshoot and document all caller issues and/or concerns.
  • Provide helpful information and resolution.
  • Will require simultaneous use of phone and multiple computer programs.
  • Customer Service

  • Data Entry

Equipment/Supply Staff-

  • Assist election process by lifting, pulling, packing, and moving election related equip-ment and supplies.
  • Labor (Must be able to stand for extended periods of time)
  • Heavy Lifting (Minimum of 35lbs)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally able to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma or equivalent desired
  • Must have reliable transportation, accessible by public transportation.
