About This Role 

A Day in the Life of an EHS Intern:

  • Candidates will be provided the opportunity to develop EHS skills in a competitive manufacturing environment  
  • Acquire leadership skills and cross-functional process knowledge about the business
  • Analyze environmental, health, and safety regulations/permits at the local, state, and federal levels that impact Lycoming's operations and be given opportunities to execute projects that will assist in complying with these regulations
  • Experience professional growth in a challenging environment and establish a network of peers and mentors within Lycoming Engines and across Textron. 

Qualifications 

  • What You'll Need:

      • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an accredited occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, biology, chemistry or related science degree is required. 

      • Ability to take direction 

      • Leadership potential 

      • Ability to work independently 

      • An inquiring mind and passion for learning 

      • Ability to work in a team environment 

      • Excellent communications/interpersonal skills 

      • Preferred candidates will have experience in a manufacturing facility performing EHS related activities
