Job Description
Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is currently seeking a CDDO Intake Support Specialist. The initial review of applications is expected to begin August 15, 2026.
Job Duties include:
  • The first point of contact for people accessing waiver services through the CDDO intake process. This requires working knowledge of HCBS IDD and CSW waiver services, eligibility requirements for Medicaid and waiver funding, Medicaid and waiver eligibility processes, and HCBS IDD and CSW systems.
  • Answers CDDO main line phone calls and responds to CDDO contact emails; evaluates routing of call as needed; documents phone calls in EHR.
  • Completes all intakes (via email, phone, or in person)
  • Sends, tracks, and records annual waitlist verification correspondences for those on the HCBS IDD waiver waitlist.
  • Maintains network email lists in CDDO distribution lists.
  • Responsible for all mailing systems including label generation (mail merge), sending gatekeeping letters, and sending annual MFEI options for signature.

Job Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in IDD or related field.is required. Valid driver's license with good driving record is required. Computer software - Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, EHR system is required.
Five (5) or more years of experience in IDD or related field, Knowledge of state regulations related to the IDD field, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills (oral and written communications skills), and time management skills including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines are preferred.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
