Job Description Summary
The Inpatient EEG Manager reports directly to the Neurophysiology Clinical Services Director and is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the 24/7 Inpatient EEG Services for both adult and pediatric patients. This includes direct supervision of key personnel such as the Inpatient EEG Coordinator, System EEG Quality and Professional Development Coordinator, Inpatient EEG Technologists I-IV and CLTM, and Clinical Staff Leaders. The role ensures ongoing program and laboratory accreditation for adult and pediatric services, including Long-Term EEG Monitoring - Critical Care EEG Monitoring Program, Long-Term EEG Monitoring - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Program, and Pediatric EEG Lab. These programs must meet standards set by ABRET and the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). The Inpatient EEG Manager plays a key role in strategically expanding EEG services across MUSC's Regional Health Network (RHN), supporting high-quality neurodiagnostic care in affiliated hospitals throughout South Carolina. This position holds hiring, promotion, and termination authority and is accountable for evaluating and improving department processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, applicable laws, and regulatory standards. The role carries significant discretion and financial responsibility, exceeding that of lower management tiers. The Inpatient EEG Manager oversees and supports departmental initiatives, strategic priorities, and high-impact programs, and collaborates closely with executive and clinical leadership to meet key operational and financial goals. This role leads planning, facilitation, monitoring, and evaluation of team activities based on organizational and employee performance goals. The Inpatient EEG partners with leaders to enhance workflows, boost productivity, and improve clinical and operational outcomes across diverse care settings.

Job Description
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program or the equivalent, bachelor's degree is preferred and Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) credentialed through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) is required and must be maintained. CLTM credentialed by ABRET is preferred. Minimum of five years Neurodiagnostic work experience required with at least three years EEG Technologist experience, three years of supervisory leadership experience is preferred. sEEG and GRIDS experience is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
