Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an upbeat, focused, high-energy individual to join our Inside Sales team. 

The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and tenacious with a natural sales instinct. You will have experience working with technology and assisting customers. We are looking for a self-starter that will support our rapidly growing international customer base.

This is a full-time position in our Raleigh, NC, office. The hours are 5 am - 2 pm ET to support global customers in specific time zones.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Lead calls with international customers to identify customer needs and provide solutions through various IXL products 
  • Conduct cold outbound calls and qualify inbound sales leads to communicate IXL's value proposition to new global users and to identify their requirements for the sales team 
  • Ensure the timely processing of international leads and assist with and support sales campaigns
  • Manage your sales pipeline, identify growth opportunities and communicate clearly the progress of campaigns to the sales teams to ensure goal attainment
  • Collaborate with Account Management to assist with the tracking and management of renewals and expansions from existing customers
  • Conduct web application product demonstrations virtually using screen share technology
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree
  • 1+ year of sales experience, preferably within the EdTech or software industry
  • A high level of self-motivation, energy and drive to succeed
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal (video/telephone) and written communications skills
  • Understanding of web applications
  • Ability to accommodate various global time zones
  • Passion for improving education through technology
  • Salesforce.com is a plus 
  • Experience in the classroom or as a school or district administrator is a plus
