Role Overview
Trajan Wealth is seeking an entrepreneurial Financial Advisor in the Chicago Metro.
This is a W2 role designed for advisors who want more than a book, they want to expand a market, establish a strong local presence, and scale a business.
Advisors begin by leveraging our educational seminar platform to build trust, drive engagement, and generate new client relationships.
Once key production milestones are achieved, advisors unlock Trajan's full growth engine, including our in-house marketing agency and client development teams that deliver consistent, qualified opportunities.
This is a unique opportunity to expand an existing footprint and then scale it with the full support of an established firm behind you.

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Educational Classes
  • Host and present retirement and financial planning seminars within the Houston area.
  • Educate prospective clients on retirement income strategies, investment management, annuities, trusts, and estate planning
  • Build trust and credibility through a consultative, education-first approach aligned with Trajan's fiduciary philosophy
  • Convert class attendees into long-term client relationships through a proven and repeatable process

Expand and Grow the Market
  • Serve as a lead representative of Trajan Wealth in the Houston area, building brand presence and trust locally
  • Expand a client base through seminars, referrals, and strategic community engagement
  • Scale a local advisory practice as part of Trajan's national growth strategy
  • Establish yourself as a trusted resource for retirement, investment, tax, and estate planning within the community
  • Conduct in-depth meetings with clients and prospective clients to understand their financial goals and overall financial picture
  • Design and implement customized financial strategies integrating investment management, tax planning, and estate considerations
  • Help clients make informed decisions and remain confident in their financial future across all market environments

Collaborate with Internal Teams
  • You're supported by a platform built to help you win.
  • Leverage Trajan's CRM and operational infrastructure to manage client relationships and track opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams across planning, client service, investment, and marketing to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience
  • Utilize firm resources and support systems to enhance productivity, improve client outcomes, and scale your practice

Qualifications
  • Clean BrokerCheck / U4 record
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Securities licenses/Certification - Series 65 or (7&66) or Professional Designation: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC).
  • IL Life and Annuity license
  • 5+ years of financial advisory or investment experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience working with retirement planning clients
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using a CRM system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proactive work style and strong personal ethics aligned with fiduciary responsibility
