Overview
The Research Analyst will perform comprehensive research and analysis across a variety of data sources to assess product availability, market conditions, and other key factors impacting federal determinations. This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, well-supported conclusions.
Background
Ardent Eagle Solutions (AES) is seeking a Research Analyst to support a Department of Commerce (DOC) program. This role is responsible for conducting detailed analytical and evaluative work in support of regulatory and programmatic decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to examine facts, principles, and trends relevant to program objectives
  • Evaluate data from public records, industry sources, and other research channels to support decision-making
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports that clearly document findings, methodologies, and conclusions
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and defensible recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to validate findings and ensure analytical consistency
  • Work both independently and within a team environment under the direction of a Project Manager
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to program standards and analytical methodologies

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical, research, or evaluation-focused role
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and synthesizing findings into actionable insights
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in report writing and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Education
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a scientific discipline and 4 years of research experience

Location and Work Hours
This position supports a hybrid work schedule and requires regular on-site presence.
Employees will be expected to report on-site several days per week, with the specific schedule determined in coordination with their Supervisor. As such, candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Boulder, CO. This position is not eligible for full-time remote work or for candidates located outside of the local commuting area.
Standard working hours are based on a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. While some flexibility may be available, employees are generally expected to be available during core business hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM MT.
When working remotely, employees must have access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable work environment that supports productivity and compliance with company policies.
This position supports a hybrid work schedule, which means employees are authorized to alternate between on-site and telework days on a schedule agreed upon and approved by their Supervisor. All employees must adhere to the Company's "Work from Home and Telework" policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and must sign the Employee Handbook Acknowledgement prior to being authorized to work remotely.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $88,000 - $102,000 per year. Compensation will be discussed in greater detail with candidates who advance in the interview process, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of qualifications and alignment with role requirements.

Final compensation will be determined at the Company's discretion based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location, and contract requirements. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
