Emergency Medicine Locums Opportunity in Ottawa, IL- $325 hourly
Position Description:
Emergency Medicine in Ottawa, IL where Inpatient Coverage is needed. Here are some of the details:
Start Date: September 1, 2024- Ongoing
Coverage needed: This is a rural hospital ER-Locum must be confident in running ED codes and competent in all required procedures.
Schedule: 20 shifts per month available.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine - REQUIRED
  • Active IL license - REQUIRED
  • Active ACLS, BLS - REQUIRED
  • Active DEA- REQUIRED
  • Minimum 1 year experience - REQUIRED
  • Must be willing to sign out other physicians-REQUIRED
  • CSR Li cense-REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice -PREFERRED
Practice Description:
  • Solo coverage
  • Staffing: Will work with NP's and or PA's but not expected to sign their charts.
  • Admissions will on call: 28
  • Looking for 2-3 providers
  • Beds in the department: 20
  • Adult %: 88%
  • PEDS %: 12%
  • Patients per day: 100
  • ED responds to codes
  • EMR: Epic
  • Trauma Level III
  • Referral transfer protocol: Transfer center called, organizes transfers
  • Who runs code? Location 1 the Intensivist does, at Location 2 the ED doc does.
