Ecosystem Development information

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in ecosystem development roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Ecosystem Development often face the challenge of aligning diverse stakeholders, such as startups, corporations, and public organizations, toward common goals. Navigating differing priorities and communication styles can be complex, requiring strong relationship-building and facilitation skills. To address these challenges, it's important to establish clear communication channels, set shared objectives early, and foster a collaborative environment through regular check-ins and transparent reporting. Proactively seeking feedback and being adaptable to evolving needs can also enhance the success of ecosystem initiatives.

What is ecosystem development?

Ecosystem development refers to the process of creating and nurturing a network of interconnected organizations, individuals, and resources that work together to drive growth, innovation, and sustainability within a specific industry or sector. Professionals in this field focus on building partnerships, supporting startups, facilitating collaboration, and creating opportunities for stakeholders to connect and thrive. The goal is to create a healthy environment where businesses, institutions, and communities can collectively advance shared objectives and adapt to changing market needs.

To thrive in Ecosystem Development, you need expertise in partnership management, business development, and strategic planning, often supported by a background in business, marketing, or related fields. Exceptional networking, communication, and negotiation skills help build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. These abilities are crucial for expanding the organization's reach, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable growth within complex business environments.

Job description

Salesforce Ecosystem Development Manager.
About Saasinct
Saasinct is a woman-owned business that embraces equality, diversity, inclusion, education, and access to career development. As an East Coast-based Salesforce implementation partner, we serve Financial Services organizations, including Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management, and Private Equity.
We empower these organizations to become more tech-savvy and strategically aligned through Salesforce. We provide our customers with a unique combination of consulting and education, illustrating what a fully integrated technology stack can look like with Salesforce at the center. We win when we earn the trust and ongoing partnership of our clients, and we do that by continually finding better ways to collaborate within the Financial Services ecosystem.
Role Overview
Saasinct is growing and seeking a Salesforce Ecosystem Development Manager to expand our presence, relationships, and opportunity pipeline within the Salesforce ecosystem.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for a self-directed business development professional who understands what it takes to be successful in the Salesforce ecosystem. You will build and maintain relationships with Salesforce Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Partner Managers, and other ecosystem stakeholders, particularly those supporting financial services customers in the New York market.
Saasinct specializes in Financial Services, with particular emphasis on Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management, Private Equity, and adjacent financial services sectors. This role will help ensure that the right people within Salesforce understand who Saasinct serves, where we are strongest, and when to bring us into a client conversation.
The role blends ecosystem relationship development, targeted business development, and in-person market engagement. You will be responsible for creating visibility, generating qualified introductions, identifying relevant opportunities, and maintaining the consistent follow-through required to turn relationships into pipeline.
We are looking for someone who is energized by relationship-building, comfortable initiating conversations, and able to operate independently in a growing business where the commercial playbook will continue to evolve.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and manage relationships with Salesforce AEs, SEs, and Partner Managers through consistent in-person and virtual engagement
  • Maintain a regular presence at Salesforce offices, partner events, and ecosystem gatherings
  • Proactively identify, research, and pursue target accounts aligned with Saasinct's focus areas
  • Generate qualified meetings and introductions through outbound outreach, partner collaboration, and networking
  • Help Salesforce teams understand Saasinct's capabilities, client profile, differentiators, and areas of expertise
  • Create consistent reasons to engage Salesforce stakeholders through relevant client stories, market insights, capability updates, and thoughtful follow-up
  • Support pipeline development from initial conversation through qualification and leadership handoff
  • Track partner relationships, activity, referrals, and pipeline progress in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging and positioning
  • Bring back market intelligence on client demand, Salesforce priorities, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
  • Coordinate smooth, well-prepared handoffs to leadership and delivery teams as opportunities advance
  • Help refine Saasinct's messaging and positioning within the Salesforce Financial Services ecosystem
What You Bring
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in business development, partner development, sales, consulting, customer success, recruiting, or another relationship-driven commercial role
  • Direct experience at Salesforce, a Salesforce consulting partner, a Salesforce technology partner, or in a role that involved regular collaboration with Salesforce sales and partner teams
  • A working understanding of how Salesforce Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Partner Managers, and consulting partners work together to develop and support customer opportunities
  • Experience within Financial Services, ideally including Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Private Equity, Banking, or Fintech
  • Familiarity with Financial Services Cloud or Salesforce solutions used by financial services organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, generate meetings, and develop opportunities through networking, partner collaboration, and targeted outreach
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and CRM discipline
  • Curiosity, persistence, and the ability to learn quickly in a changing environment
  • A willingness to spend meaningful time engaging in person across the New York Salesforce and Financial Services ecosystem
Grow With Us
  • Be part of a growing Salesforce partner where your work and ideas directly impact our trajectory
  • Help shape how we serve clients and show up in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Gain meaningful exposure to company leadership, client strategy, and commercial decision-making
  • Build toward broader responsibility across partner development, alliances, business development, or sales.
  • Take real ownership in a collaborative, people-centered team
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage & 401(k) match
  • Salesforce certification support and professional development
Eligibility Requirements
  • Location: Saasinct is a remote-first company; however, this role is based in the New York City metropolitan area; Candidates must be able to commute regularly to Manhattan for Salesforce office engagement, partner meetings, client meetings, and relevant industry events
  • Experience: Must have prior Salesforce Ecosystem experience, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management, or Private Equity
  • Travel: Regular local travel within the New York metropolitan area, with occasional additional travel for Salesforce, partner, client, or industry events
