At Chick-fil-A, the Back of House Shift Leader plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring excellence in food quality, food safety, and kitchen operations. This leader is responsible for executing daily operations with precision, developing team members, and upholding Chick-fil-A standards during every shift.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about developing others while pursuing operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence
  • Lead and execute kitchen operations to ensure accuracy, speed, and quality of all food items
  • Maintain Chick-fil-A standards in food safety, cleanliness, and organization (EcoSure & Pathway aligned)
  • Ensure proper holding times, food rotation, and waste control
  • Execute intentional setups to position the kitchen for success during peak and non-peak hours
  • Monitor kitchen flow and make real-time adjustments to ensure efficiency
Food Safety & Quality
  • Champion food safety procedures and ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A and EcoSure standards
  • Conduct regular line checks, temperature checks, and cleanliness audits
