Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Solution Engineer with Therap EMR exp to join their innovative team. As an EMR Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electronic medical records systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, experience in healthcare IT, and a commitment to improving the efficiency and quality of healthcare through innovative EMR solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electronic medical records (EMR) solutions that align with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand EMR requirements and tailor solutions to meet specific needs.
  • Customize and configure EMR systems to ensure seamless integration with existing healthcare infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for EMR systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely solutions to ensure system reliability.
  • Stay informed about advancements in EMR technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our EMR solutions.
  • Ensure data security and privacy compliance within EMR systems.
  • Train healthcare staff on the proper use of EMR systems and provide ongoing support.
  •  Collaborate with vendors and participate in the evaluation and selection of new EMR solutions.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for optimizing EMR performance and functionality.

      Requirements

      • Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
      • Proven experience as an EMR Solution Engineer or in a similar role within healthcare IT.
      • Strong understanding of electronic medical records systems and healthcare workflows.
      • Proficiency in programming languages and scripting relevant to EMR solutions.
      • Experience with EMR software applications and platforms.
      • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
      • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
      • Experience with Epic My chart integrations
      • Experience with Amazon Web Services environment
      • Experience with hospital feeds and terminology
      • Scripting languages (Javascript, Perl or ksh) and knowledge of SQL would be a big plus
      • Knowledge of XSLT Experience in a healthcare or healthcare support industry is strongly desired
      • Development experience in any object oriented language (e.g. C#, Java, etc.)
      • Strong knowledge in OOP/OOD and design patterns
      • 2 or more years of experience in software development.
      • Database experience. Experience in back-end J2EE development
      • Expert in the following technologies: EJB3; JMS; Web Services; XML
      • Experience with DB2/Oracle, Hibernate, JDBC, SQL SOA; ESB; Rules Engine; BPEL knowledge
      • Experience with laboratory feeds and terminology
