Job Description

EMR Support Specialist's job is to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance for our healthcare clients using EMR software. This role involves working directly with clients to resolve software issues, optimize software performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and software terms and conditions of use. Collaborates with various departments in order to fulfill client needs and requirements

What you'll do:ย 

  • Provide front line support for EMR software, assisting users with set up, troubleshooting, and resolving system related issues.ย 
  • Identify and implement improvements within the EMR system to enhance usability and workflow efficiency for healthcare providers.ย 
  • Customization of dynamic forms, patients forms, visit notes, encounter forms and problem templates.ย ย 
  • Set up automated appointment reminders: sms, calls and emails, to improve operational efficiency.ย 
  • Set up of eFax, Dymo Label Printer and Medscan applications.ย 
  • Implement e-prescribing functionalities for medical staff to streamline prescription process.ย 
  • Set up of Lab, Immunization registry and HIE interfaces.ย 
  • Set up of DIRECT email domains.ย ย 
  • Daily tasks and responsibilities: Responsible for providing solutions to clients based on their inquiry.ย ย ย 
  • Collaboration with finance, billing, interface and development departments.ย ย 
  • Customer facing responsibilities: Answers client calls, emails and tickets.ย ย 
  • Conduct training for internal team as well as client training: Provider/ Admin/ Staff.ย 
  • Test new features and modules, such as Patient Portal, Patient Intake and Telehealth to ensure their functionality and performance meet client expectations.ย ย 

Working Conditions:

Travel

  • This role requires regular travel to client offices across the United States, based on client and business needs.
  • Travel frequency may vary from week to week and may represent up to 3 days per week.

Requirements: A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications
  • You have experience with Medical Records software and are aware of a typical medical office workflow.ย ย 
  • You are able to work under pressure and handle high stress situations such as system outages and cyber attacks.ย ย 
  • You are able to follow instructions and execute.ย 
  • You are able to quickly grasp new information and ready to assist with urgent tasks that are not part of your daily routine.ย 
  • You have the knowledge to provide workflow modifications in order to improve office efficiency and revenue for providers.ย ย
