Job description

Position Summary

The ED Financial Advisor assists patients and families with insurance coverage, financial assistance, payment options, and hospital financial responsibilities. This position works with patients, insurance companies, and hospital departments to help resolve financial concerns.

Essential Duties
  • Provide financial counseling to ED patients and families.
  • Verify insurance and patient financial information.
  • Explain copays, deductibles, payment plans, and financial assistance programs.
  • Assist eligible patients with charity care and financial assistance applications.
  • Coordinate with registration, billing, and other departments to resolve financial issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Provide compassionate customer service in a fast-paced ED environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Healthcare financial counseling, billing, insurance, or patient access experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00–$26.00 per hour
