Job description

Position Overview

The Drop Ship Buying Coordinator will support the initiatives of the Third Party Buying team by overseeing the drop ship assortment and owning the day-to-day operations of the drop ship program. This role partners closely with the buyers, drop ship vendors, and cross functional internal teams to ensure seamless execution of drop ship product assortment, product set up, order flow, and fulfillment. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in the retail buying and merchandising career path, is detail-oriented, proactive, and will have excellent communication and organizational skills.


Core Responsibilities

  • This position will support the drop ship program with general administrative tasks including but not limited to vendor on-boarding, uploading new product data and imagery, managing order status, uploading tracking information, and managing inventory updates.
  • Responsible for ensuring all drop ship orders are fulfilled accurately and completed on time
  • Act as the operational liaison between vendors and various internal teams
  • Manage vendor relationships through active and frequent communication and serve as the point of contact for any operational questions or issues
  • Oversee management of drop ship platform to ensure all orders, products, and tracking updates flow into the platform timely and accurately
  • Make daily updates to the active assortment based on vendor inventory levels
  • Ensure product data is accurate and consistent across all systems and platforms
  • Place manual drop ship orders as needed
  • Support buyers in analyzing product trends, reviewing performance, and contributing insights to future assortment decisions
  • Assist the team on day to day activities and learn "on the job" by contributing to reporting, analytics, presentations and meeting preparation
  • Prepare seasonal recaps of product performance prior to assorting for new seasons
  • Maintain the active assortment by updating products based on vendor inventory levels and business needs
  • Spearhead our internal Tuckernuck Drop Ship program - managing incoming drop ship order fulfillment

Compensation

Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $58,000-$62,500; classified as full-time exempt and not eligible for overtime.
