ABOUT THE POSITION

The Drop Ship Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing drop ship operations by managing vendor relationships, monitoring order fulfillment performance, analyzing supply chain data, and ensuring seamless customer experience. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external suppliers to drive operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.

The analyst leverages data and reporting tools to identify trends, resolve fulfillment issues, improve vendor compliance, and support strategic initiatives that enhance the overall drop ship program.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at working cross-functionally in a fast-paced retail, e-commerce, or supply chain environment. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving abilities, data analysis expertise, and the capability to translate operational insights into actionable recommendations that improve service levels, reduce costs, and support business growth.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Provides Sales representatives with constructive analysis and suggestions for improvements during seasonal pre-lines and booking timeframes to create sales driving assortments based on sell-through analytics and market trends.

  • Participate in account meetings and provide data to support assortment recommendations.

  • Analyzes retailer sales, inventory, and fulfillment performance to identify growth opportunities and service risks.

  • Recommends actions to improve product availability, optimize assortment performance, and address inventory or fulfillment concerns.

  • Generates and provides complex sales and sell-in summary reporting, analytics, and ad hoc requests to stakeholders as well as to internal cross-functional teams.

  • Works closely with Regional Sales Team to identify top and bottom performing items to improve sales.

  • Works with Regional Sales Directors on current and future season forecasting. Identifies opportunities and liabilities on products based on history and market trends to maximize production runs and internal gross margins.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-8 years' professional experience in related position.

  • Strong communication skills and have a proven track record of working with external partners.

  • Previous experience in retail buying, retail planning, or similar experience with retail forecasting and sales analysis required.

  • Strong knowledge of the outdoor industry, consumer buying patterns and retail dynamics, knowledge of CSC brands a plus

  • Possesses strong understanding of merchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis.

  • Possess advanced knowledge of retail math and pricing strategies with a strong knowledge of open to buy processes and financial planning processes.

  • Proficient experience in manipulating data including statistical analysis and advanced math calculations.

  • Strong organizational and presentation skills and attention to detail required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with stakeholders as various levels internal and external.
