Job description

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for) a DMLSS/LogiCole Drawing Support Technician to provide support for our government customer in San Antonio, TX
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Update architectural and infrastructure as-built drawings
  • Validate project room information changes
  • Update the DMLSS/LogiCole system
  • Upload and link drawing elements
  • Perform all drawing work
  • Assist MTF facility managers
  • Follow DHA-defined file naming conventions and technical standards
  • Upload and maintain 100% Issued For Construction (IFC) design documents
  • Produce Record Drawings
  • Perform remote updates
  • Update Fire Protection and Life Safety drawings
  • Upload completed drawing updates to the MARS database
  • Collaborate with Data Entry Clerks and Quality Control Technicians
  • Convert PDF scans of facilities to CAD formats
  • Travel to project sites as needed
  • Support requests for facility drawing files,
  • Participate in design submittal review teams and project completion functional testing teams
  • Review and evaluate engineering design drawings
  • Perform self-review and team quality control reviews,
  • Complete Government-approved training
  • Participate in engineering quality control activities,
  • Perform field surveys
  • Document and report building deficiencies
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) from an accredited institution, or a CADD certificate from an accredited technical or vocational school.
  • Must have valid U.S. Passport and have the ability to travel both within the United States and outside the United States as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience using Autodesk AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software to create, modify, and maintain engineering or architectural drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and as-built drawings for architectural, mechanical, and infrastructure systems.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Working knowledge of facility management and building infrastructure systems sufficient to maintain and update drawings per DHA policies, AEC standards, and project requirements.
  • Ability to collect, consolidate, and apply data from multiple sources to produce accurate and complete drawings and associated documentation.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain CAC card.
