HDR Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Drawing Assistant to join our growing, nationally ranked Power Delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineering teams by supporting drawing, checking in, checking out, procedures
  • Catalogue and filing documents and drawings
  • Transmitting engineering-related drawings and information to the HDR engineering team as well as HDR clients.
  • This position involves following an exact process repeatedly with a high degree of quality as well as effectively communicating issues regarding the process with the team.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation
  • Working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise
  • Understands CAD drawing attributes
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
  • Familiarity and understanding of construction drawings and documents
  • Works well in a team environment and communicates well with many different team members
  • Able to consistently handle deadlines and prioritize work
  • Ability to respond to a changing and evolving process as well as learn new tasks.
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Preference given to local candidates

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
