About Select Construction
Founded in 2016, Select Construction is a General Contracting and Construction Management company serving the NYC and New Jersey markets. We specialize in commercial interior construction and work with a strong base of recurring clients, including several Fortune 500 companies. With a growing backlog of work, we are expanding our team and seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Superintendent to join us.
Position Overview
Full-time, on-site role supporting the COO, Project Managers, and Superintendents with day-to-day construction operations. The ideal candidate has a construction background, is hands-on, motivated to learn, and ready to take on increasing responsibility while traveling between project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members 
  • Support field operations, sequencing, and the project schedule 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site 
  • Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP/FP drawings 
  • Assist with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation 
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules, daily logs, and photo reports 
  • Help manage material deliveries, load-ins, and site logistics 
  • Assist with project closeout and demobilization 
  • Identify and communicate field issues promptly 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant construction experience 
  • Proficiency with Procore (preferred) 
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
