Scenic Artist
Pay $17-20 hr. Depending on experience
Summary:
Apply paint, varnishes and other coatings to a variety of materials and surfaces working primarily in the construction and manufacturing, painting structures or industrial commodities. May require an industry specialty, such as house painting, automotive painting or machinery painting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gathering and preparing necessary information, tools and items needed to complete assigned painting task
Painting Faux finishes, such as wood graining, marbleizing, aging, sponging and rag rolling
Field color matching - picks colors and mixes paint while using color matching for desired assignment
Drawing, layout and painting of backdrops and murals with either brush or airbrush
Preparing surfaces to be painted. Consisting of cleaning, scraping, caulking, applying putty, sanding, patching, priming and base painting
Painting or airbrushing of 2D or 3D fields and props
Cleaning up paint area. Consists of picking up used tarps, scraping, removing tape, cleaning brushes, spills and paint buckets
Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established policy, training and Team Member involvement activates
Perform other duties as assigned

Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) work in an environment subject to vibrations; lift/push up to 50 pounds with control; use close vision with or without corrective lens (clear vision at 20 inches or less); use distance vision with or without corrective lens (clear vision at 20 feet or more); work in an environment with flashing lights including strobe lamps
