Do you love building partnerships, leading teams, and turning community generosity into real impact? Are you equal parts strategist, people leader, and roll-up-your-sleeves operator?
If so, Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area might have the perfect role for you.
Why This Role Matters
Every donated item tells a story-and funds job training, education, and career opportunities for people in our community. As our Donor Development and Experience Manager, you'll lead the systems, partnerships, and teams that make that generosity possible.

• Retail success
• Mission impact
In short: you help fuel the engine that powers our mission.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the architect and champion of our donation acquisition ecosystem across the region, securing donated household goods for resale in our donated goods retail program. That includes:
• Building bold community partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, faith groups, and logistics partners
• Leading our Attended Donation Centers (ADCs)-setting standards, coaching leaders, and ensuring a great donor experience
• Designing and improving donation channels, from community drives to reverse logistics partnerships
• Partnering across the organization with Retail, Operations, Marketing, Safety, and Logistics to keep donation flow strong and consistent
• Using data and field insight to continuously improve volume, quality, and donor experience
You'll spend time both thinking strategically and being in the field, supporting teams and partners where the work happens.
Who You Are
You're someone who:
• Thrives in a mission-driven environment
• Enjoys balancing relationships and results
• Can lead multiple sites or teams with clarity and consistency
• Uses data to inform decisions-but never forgets the human side
• Builds trust with donors, partners, and frontline teams alike
Experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, retail, logistics, or community-based operations is a big plus-but mindset and leadership matter most.
Why You'll Love Working Here
At Goodwill GICA, you'll find:
• A values-driven culture grounded in People, Integrity, Commitment, and Continuous Improvement
• A leadership team that believes in clarity, trust, and accountability
• The chance to make a visible, measurable difference in our community
• Work that matters-every single day
The Details

• FLSA Status: Exempt
• Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
• Location: Chattanooga area (field-based with office/warehouse environments)
Ready to Make an Impact?
