Job description

Behavior Analysis - Special Needs Education - Teacher's Assistant

United Staffing Solutions is an NYC premier staffing agency. We are currently searching for candidates to fill the following positions:

Paraprofessionals/Teacher's Aides to work 1:1, with students in schools for the 2022-2023 school year. There are full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities available in all boroughs.

Pay: $17-$20/hr DOE + $100 referral bonus (must complete 10 shifts)

***MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY-FRIDAY BETWEEN 7 AM-4 PM***

Paraprofessionals must be willing to:

  • provide 1:1 support to pre-k and school-age children with health/emotional special needs for the classroom setting
  • work closely with school staff including the school nurse
  • encourage students with academics, productivity in a structured learning environment
  • review classwork material and assist students in all areas
  • ensure student safety during school hours
  • we offer weekly Board of Education in-house orientation with our internal team
  • monitoring student(s) health and emotional needs

Preferred Requirements for the Paraprofessional:

  • Health Aide, Paraprofessional, Teacher Assistant/Aide, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Aide, Direct Care, Home Health Aides
  • must be able to work with epi-pen, diabetes, asthma, seizures, autism and ADHD
  • special ed or medical college students available from 7 am-4 pm are welcome
  • driving and already being fingerprinted with DOE, a very big plus
  • bilingual is also a plus

Minimum Requirements for the Paraprofessional

  • must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years related experience; professionally or personally
