Job description

Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) to provide assurance and control processes within the manufacturing operations at eFusionX. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards and specifications before reaching the customer. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with management to establish and implement a QMS including: (1) Plan, (2) Gap Analysis, (3) QMS Procedures, (4) QMS Work Instructions, (5) QMS Records, (6) and internal Audits/Management Review. The Quality Control Manager will also work closely with the production team to implement and enforce QMS measures and continuously improve processes to enhance product quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Develops, implements, and manages the QMS to ensure continuous production of advanced aerospace and defense systems and components and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals).

·         Supervises a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance.

·         Conducts regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

·         Analyzes quality control test results and provides feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.

·         Coordinates with other managers and staff to discuss QMS standards and procedures.

·         Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

·         Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards including ISO 9001 and AS9100.

·         Monitors the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

·         Prepares reports on quality control activities and performance metrics for management review.

·         Collaborate with suppliers to ensure flow down quality standards are met and maintained.

·         Leads root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.

·         Perform other duties assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above).

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

·         Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality control standards and testing methodologies. 

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

·         Strong leadership and team management skills. 

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education and Licenses

·         Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) preferred.
