Job description

Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience, starting at $45,000 - $55,000 per year

SUMMARY
Operations Support provides administrative support across Human Resources, payroll, and document control functions. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, supports compliance initiatives, and contributes to efficient daily operations, including data management and reporting to support manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *Other duties may be assigned.
• Assists with recruitment and interview process.
• Schedule meetings and interviews.
• Prepare or update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating, etc.
• Submits online background check requests and assists with new employee background checks.
• Prepares new employee files, assists with new hire paperwork completion and processing, assists with new hire orientation, and follow up with new hire to ensure completion of enrollment in benefits.
• Verifies I-9 documentation and timely completion of same.
• Maintain HRIS records and compile and provide assistance with reports.
• Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
• Poll electronic time clocks (Paychex software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
• Process payroll and manage timekeeping using Paychex.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits.
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
• Maintains SCR system & document control system regarding control of document changes and plant modifications.
• Prepares and sorts source documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
• Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
• Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen and enters necessary codes.
• Compares data entered with source documents, or reenters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
• Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
• Files or routes source documents after entry.
• Keeps record of work completed.
• Responds to inquiries regarding entered data.
• Enter data and generate reports within the ERP system to support manufacturing operations
• Assists or prepares correspondence.
• Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions.
• Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two plus years of experience in human resources preferred.
