Job description

Summary

We are seeking an experienced ISO 9001 & BA9000 Lead Internal Auditor, Document Controller & Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist to support and strengthen our Quality Management System across multiple manufacturing sites.

This role serves as a key quality systems subject matter expert leading internal audit, ensuring disciplined document and change control, supporting external and certification audits, and driving consistency and best practice sharing across sites. The position plays a critical role in audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the internal audit program across multiple sites, including planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting
  • Conduct ISO 9001 and BA9000 internal audits and support external, certification, and customer audits
  • Issue clear audit reports, identify nonconformances and opportunities for improvement, and track corrective action follow up
  • Own and maintain the QMS document control system across all supported sites
  • Manage document change requests (new, revised, obsolete), including approval routing and publication of controlled documents
  • Ensure consistent document standards, version control, and access to current, approved documents
  • Support training and communication related to document changes and system updates
  • Maintain QMS effectiveness and ISO/BA9000 compliance across the site network
  • Monitor changes to standards and regulatory requirements and communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Provide QMS and ISO expertise to site Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teams
  • Analyze audit results and system data to identify trends and drive system level improvements
  • Promote standardization and best practice sharing across sites to strengthen QMS maturity
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in quality auditing, quality systems, or QMS support
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with BA9000 strongly preferred
  • Proven experience with internal audits, document control, and quality system maintenance
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO Lead Auditor or Certified Internal Auditor
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification
  • Experience supporting multi site manufacturing organizations
  • Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, A3, etc.)
