Job description

OEM Logistics, LLC was founded in January 2023 by two industry veterans with a proven track record of success identifying outside the box niche solutions that address the supply chain challenges within the aerospace & defense industry. OEM delivers proactive supplier management solutions for the major Primes and Tier-1’s across the aerospace, defense, and shipbuilding sectors. By integrating our supplier specialists directly within supply chain networks, we deliver a level of oversight and engagement that surpasses conventional methods.
Headquartered in Arizona, OEM is experiencing rapid growth and is currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The Controller will manage all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting activities. 
This is a full-time position based in our Scottsdale, AZ corporate office. Pre-employment background and drug screening are required.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage all operations in the accounting department, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts, reports variance to budget to management
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of monthly journal entries and general ledger close process
  • Provides financial analysis with emphasis on customer quotes and gross margins
  • Effectively collaborate with people at all levels of the organization
  • Works with external CPA firm and auditors as necessary
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
  • Drives annual benefits renewal pricing and analysis
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills in accounting and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 6+ years of comprehensive accounting and finance experience
  • Financial reporting experience required
  • Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
